My sleeping at night has been disrupted by a combination of the flu and more than that - the bedroom is too razzedfracking cold to sleep in!

cranky sick woman ahead, please move along unless it may entertain you. Tickets are free. Media blackout in effect... )

wanna know what happend last time I got sick? I picked up a bug that makes it so you can't understand anything. It made reading or writing impossible because it was like flipping channels mid word, argh! No math either, it was like I knew 1+1 equals 2, but I just couldn't put the thought together.

Then there was the time I hallucinated..... multipul times..... and woke up a 3:30am on the kitchen floor.

well I remember everything and it is so funny in retrospect. I had gotten food poisoning the previous night (bad carrot juice of all things) and ended up vomiting so frequently and so hard that I A: actually strained a muscle B: didn't sleep at all. That set the stage for what happend next. So the next day rolled around and I went to the doc who said that I did indeed have food poisoning and gave me some meds. Well thing was that my mother hadn't let me drink anything like gatoraide (I wasn't going to drink water)untill I saw the doc so I was already dehydrated and when I started drinking it was like a spoonfull a half hour, too little too late ( ... )

Thankees wonderful Lady. I finally got some sleep - only about four hours but it has balanced my bristling a wee bit.

Oh dear. At least you know to drink the teas and stay snuggly. I just discovered what was making my dearest feel so icky, so you may want to check this sort of thing out as well. Our AC froze up late this summer, causing quite a lot of wet where the Central unit is located. I thought we had dried it all out, but lo I found lots of mold and mildew (not to mention dust) in there while poking around today. I always forget to clean everything out before using the heating and always pay for it with a stuffier head and nose.

I do hope you get to feeling better soon. It's such a wonderful time of year, and I hate to think of you feeling ill for it.

Thank you. yes I have some worries actually because these things can be rather tough to identify and I am having a hades of a time getting people to see the validity of my concerns. I fear it will end in me one day siphoning off funds for professionals specialized in identifying and cleaning up old house needs. For the most part I think we are okay in regards to mold and mildew considering we had a home inspection this summer when we moved here. But sometimes I wonder if he really did a good job of it, considering he didn't notice burst hot pipes under the addition ( ... )

Oh my. Cold is the evilest of evils, it is. One winter I spent under two blankets, a thick down quilt, two fleece throws, two camel-hair blankets, and topped it off with a bed curtain I attached to my wall. That winter I was not cold.

I cannot imagine having that many blankies and still being cold. Poor poor lady...

We discovered a few things about the house this week. One is that the upstairs bathroom has no vent to pipe heating from the furnace into it. O.O

And we closed all the old fashioned heating vents in case they are not actually cold air returns, because they seemed to be cold spots and sucking the air in. I suspect we'll be locked in a battle with cold air for the next three weeks. *scowl*

Thankees the compassion is muchly appreciated, hon.

I think we'll be dragging my miserable bottom to the doctor not long after sun-up. Then I hope to put an end to this flu. *grumbles at it*
