Awww :o( I remember when we lived in West Philly for the first summer we had NO AC. Not even a window unit. And like, cold washcloths were our best friends. We'd get them all ready in the morning, like 2 washcloths for each of us, we'd run them under cold water and squeeze them out and stick them in the freezer for an hour or two (till they're just barely stiff). That and, right before bed, I'd take a cold-ish shower with a long t-shirt on, then when I was done I'd squeeze the t-shirt dry but it would still be coldish-wet, and then right before bed I hung it up in my closet and jumped it bed and it managed to keep me cool long enough to fall asleep. Frozen water bottles help too, you can sip them AND lay them on your chest or neck to cool you down.

You just have to improvise. :o) And don't worry, when I'm home in 13 DAYS you can come to my basement apartment where we don't even need AC it's so cool. :o)
