Are we friends on facebook? My status was for a while that I felt like Janet. It's very comforting to me that, going to a women's college, none of my classmates can get me pregnant. And I haven't noticed anything unearthly about any of the Classics department.

But yes, while in temperament we are quite different, I've known for a long time that in upbringing and circumstance, I am very like Janet.

Yes. Um, maybe that book is my guide to college life. I realize this is really a bad thing in many ways, but I can't help it. I wrote my college admissions essay about Tam Lin. I discovered The Lady's Not for Burning, which is now my favorite play, through Tam Lin.

It is a great tragedy that we never really sat down together and talked about all the books we both love.
