So I watched my Facebook movie, of course. It was cute. Not exceedingly meaningful or anything, but ya know. Cute. Kind of amusing to see what stands out from a programming algorithmic perspective ( Read more... )

I meant to comment when you talked before about cutting your hair that I always liked your short hair. So now seems a good time.

My favorite was your bob just above your shoulders with side-swept bangs. After that, probably the spikes in back.

Obviously, I am not helping encourage you to keep it long. I think you look fantastic with short hair. Although of course you look pretty with any hair length.

Oh, and I think red or purple lowlights would be incredible. I want to see pictures if you do cut or color it, of course.

So commiserate with missing dancing. Haven't been dancing since back in VA. So miss it.

Lol. The bob and the spikes were the same. Bob in front, spikes in back. Hence "reverse mullet".

Thank you for the corroboration! I loved my short hair. And I am so, so beyond tired of feeling like I'm keeping it long for the sake of the patriarchy. I'm not, of course, but sometimes it does feel that way. Screw 'em. Don't care. It's my hair; I'll do what I want with it. Sheesh.

If I chop/dye it, I will of course post photos. Somewhere.

It feels like I haven't been dancing in an entire lifetime, or two, or three. I actually did go swing dancing, like, twice...maybe about a year ago? A little less than a year ago? And once not quite a year and a half ago, and then before that, the last time I went dancing was with you in Virginia Beach, I think. In any case, it feels like it's been an eternity, which is far too long. I wish dancing were a thing that people actually did in Middle-of-Nowhere, Missouri.

No, I'm thinking of two different styles. Spikes-wise, yes, I mean the reverse mullet look, not the all-over spikes. But when I said bob, I meant there was a time you visited here (when you treated to an expensive dinner for Christmas and I think we went dancing, too) when your hair was basically all one length except for your bangs. It was just above or just brushing your shoulders and you had side-swept bangs, but it wasn't spiky in back (nor cut that way without actually being spiked at the time), actually just cut to that same length all around. It was really cute and swishy and flattering on you ( ... )

Oh, it's not a bob, but it's shorter than your long hair. And maybe they weren't really bangs, but tucked behind your ear, it looked like it. Anyway, this is the hairstyle I admired but poorly described. Hm, I'm too tired to remember how to do this/figure this out. I'll send it by fb message.
