Cookies!

So, I'm going to be baking cookies for people at work. There are more recipes on the internet than I could possibly imagine sorting through, so I figured I'd start by asking for suggestions here, since so many of my friends like to cook/bake/etc. I was planning to play around with oatmeal, chocolate chips, and some cinnamon, but since I haven't ( Read more... )

oooooh boy. I could overwhelm you with cookie recipes. I made 500-ish christmas cookies last year. on a scale of 1-10, how involved do you want to get with this recipe?

heh, and regardless of your answer, I may give you the recipe for chocolate whoppers anyhow, 'cause they're like a brownie in a cookie and just delish.

I'm not looking to get super complicated. I'm going to bake in the kitchen at work one day (since I can't do it at home, my oven is awful), so I'll have plenty of space but not huge amounts of time. Also I need something that lends itself well to making multiple batches because I'll probably be making a lot. Also I don't want to spend a huge amount of money on ingredients. But otherwise, I'm open.

Oatmeal, chocolate chips, and cinnamon in one recipe? I believe all the recipes are my favorite.

I can't give actual advice for those recipes, but I really like pumpkin chocolate chip scones. http://www.joyofbaking.com/PumpkinScones.html I used dark chocolate chips (about twice what the recommend. And the dough is amazing uncooked and has no egg.

Thanks! These look a bit more complicated than I'm looking to get right now... I just want to make something nice for the people at work, so I want to keep it on the simple side. They do look delicious, though!

I have a few easy cookie recipes if you're interested. Easy Slice Sugar Cookies, Cinnamon Cookies, Original Nestle' Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies, Hershey's Double Chocolate Cookies, White Chip Chocolate Cookies--these are all basically mix ingredients together roll into a ball or drop from a spoon or chill and slice then bake. I also have recipes for cookies that need to be rolled out and cut out with cookie cutters.

All my recipes are in Microsoft Word so I can attach them to an email and send them to you if you would like.

I recommend the Martha Stewart Living website. You can search her cookie database and we have REALLY good luck with her recipes turning out well.
This one is a recent favourite

Another suggestion would be to make a recipe where the dough can be chilled overnight, mix up the dough at home, chuck it in a tupperware and bring it to work with you for the actual baking.
