well, the spelling lara is not so terribly russian and exotic that i haven't seen it before, but i'm glad for the clarification.

It's just been getting mispronounced so often that I thought I'd clarify to everyone. And misspelled, also. There's this chick at my mom's work who keeps calling me Lauren and it's pissing me off.

you prefer the a to be pronounced as just that rather than an o? that is a lot more russian sounding, actually. mm. reminds me of doctor zhivago... which you were named after, right?

It's like the words la and rah as in fa la la and rah rah rah, smushed together. Like Lahrah. No O at ALL. It was a family thing, but you can count it as a Dr. Zhivago thing if you want.
