So I've been doing some thinking about why I haven't been posting much lately. I have things to say and I miss contact with all of you, so why don't I post
( Read more... )
Nani and Bella have for the past year ganged up on Beorn, each taking a side of his neck and tossing him to the ground and both wrestling with him at once. He used to put up a good struggle that got them all tired out. Now he just lets them - it is like he is saying 'uncle' - 'I give up!' almost from the start. My poor boy. I feel bad for him at times. He often comes back in the house to get away from them.
But the good news is that the girls are now back to wrestling with each other. Bella is getting a bit too robust, so she needs that exercise and Nani seems happy to have her to play with when poor Beorn gives out on them.
Beorn still does squirrel chase with Nani during the day, though, which is good for him. Then when Bella's family comes home and lets her over, those two can play rough while old Beorn sleeps happily on my feet.
When I saw that cloak, I just knew it was the one from my story and surely it was made by elves. And the staff = same thing. Split second purchase decisions LOL.
It is really good to hear from you. :) I'm glad you feel like just talking.
I dig the flowers and cloak and staff and new laptop and new camera ( boy, do I also need a new one of both ) and a peek into you living room too. But, the best part is the always the petspam! I have no pets at the moment (sigh) so really appreciate people sharing theirs.
The Lion King is an impressive beast. Funny that he is the biggest scaredy cat here, next to Andy, maybe, who is otherwise my bad boy, mob boss, brat cat.
I bet you're tired of snow too. I just talked to a client in NYC... they're getting a foot more of the white stuff today. Poor them!
I always did wonder what your elven cloak looked like! :) And your walking stick is way cooler than any I have ever seen outside of the movies.
Your house looks beautiful, and oh, heated floors! Me wants it. I am also very tempted to buy some flowers. Maybe it's actually worth the money? According to the newspaper winter will last for another month here, and flowers would add some nice colour in this frozen world. I'm thinking about tulips...
Flowers are so great for mental health. I had just decided I had to get more today when the doorbell rang, and my 3 and 5 year old neighbors handed me a bouquet of roses with my mail (they pick it up each day for me). Absolutely made my day!
I think you need tulips. :>) Winter is long here too - we can't even plant flowers outside until the end of May. So, vases and cut flowers it is until then.

Impressed by Topaz. He was a spindly little fur explosion as a kitten. Quite the handsome fellow these days.
Soooooooooo tired of snow on the ground. Won't be long though.
Have a happy and be well.
