Not a bad weekend..

On Friday, I decided I needed more flowers. I had just told Tod I was going to run to Sam's Club and get more roses.. and 20 minutes later, my 3 and 5 year old neighbors knock on my door with a bouquet of roses and my mail. Their mom was busy unloading their car from their trip to Sam's Club. LOL.. from my heart to God's ear to them, I guess! ( Read more... )

What lovely neighbor kids! I think I'm going to go out tomorrow and buy that hyacinth for my desk that I saw last week.

I got a Burpee catalog last week. I am SO tempted. But starting seeds never works for me. I'll just wait until May to buy my plants. That way someone's getting paid to go through the anguish of seedlings instead of me doing it for free.

No kidding on the seedlings. I gave up on that too.

Get the plant. You need color and fragrance, if possible. I've decided I'm going to be a regular customer right unil late May when I can plant my own flowers.

Wow, look at that it's march already! And you get sunny and safe driveaway! Here hoping that the worst is over... and extra blessings for your neighbours and their kids. Tell them we are so grateful that they take good care of you!

I have great neighbors. Bella's family picked up all the dog poo (Bella contributes, of course) and filled my bird feeders, and another neighbor fixed my snowblower. :D

You do indeed have great neighbors. :) Hearing about the instant roses put an even bigger smile on my face.

I have tried growing vegetables, which never turned out very well. Now I stick to letting my fruit trees do their thing on their own. And then, excert some effort picking the high-up stuff with a twelve foot basket-pole. No ladders for this old lady.
