I watched England play last night. I wish I'd skipped it. Actually I did. It was so exciting I fell asleep and missed most of the second half. I'd much rather have seen the war between the Portuguese and Dutch.

Four red cards?! And a strange man with large teeth!

I managed to watch both games last night. I'm glad I did as both games were highly entertaining, especially Argentina v Mexico. Though there were two goals in the first ten minutes, and no more until extra time, it was top quality football from both sides. I would have loved to have seen Mexico win, but Argentina's little extra class saw them ( Read more... )

It was a poor effort last night. Stayed up for the midnight game (Ukraine v Tunisia) then got up at 5am for Korea Republic v Switzerland. Ok, now I've seen fewer matches in full than in part or not at all (thanks dsnUnsurprisingly things are pretty upbeat here at the moment after Australia qualified for the second round. What a strange and nerve stretching match. It was a very tense struggle, but Australia thoroughly desrved to come away with that draw and thus book a meeting with Italy in the second round.

Was odd watching Survivor last night hoping against hope that the person I had read had won didn't actually win. But they did. Sigh.

Which was more than England could do against Sweden. They seriously need to get their act together that's for sure.

Argentina v Netherlands is on my viewing schedule tonight. I hope it's a cracker.
