Fandom is a flat circle. Every wank we've ever done or will do, we're gonna do over and over anonymous March 10 2014, 20:22:32 UTC
What wanks are you destined to always get involved with meme? What ship wars can't you resist?

I can't seem to stop getting into wanks about whether OOC fic is bad.

IDGAF about ship wars, though.

Wait. I understand people have different understanding of what's considered in character... but are the arguments about writing the characters completely ooc (and I presume not in a coffeeshop AU type fic) on purpose? Why would anyone do that?

No, it’s not OOC on purpose, it’s more of a language wank on what can be considered objectively “good”. Some people think that if a work is OOC it is fundamentally incapable of being “good” (whatever that means) whereas others may be able to enjoy a work that they find technically well-written/enjoyable in its own right, whether the characters are IC or not.

Spent the day at a zoo. Technically, it was a field trip, but honestly seemed like less a field trip and more like an excuse to just go there. And it's been sunny, and too warm to wear a jacket pretty much all day. :D

Alas no, fair nonny. The Kraken crossed over for the new world to meet his long lost brother. He'll be back soon though.

Pretty much the only next gen I remember liking was Inverarity's "Hogwarts Houses Divided" http://www.fictionalley.org/authors/inverarity/HHD.html

As I understand, it's very well known and an obvious rec to make, but there you go =)

What would your favorite canon look like set in Miami, Florida?

Probably about the same amount of guns, explosions, and alien invasions, to be honest. Slightly more gators.

My main fandom is Teen Wolf so even more shirtlessness, I'm guessing.
