Notes: This is the scene I tried to condense here. Also, this is a character's update dream, so Desmond will be updated to the end of Sequence Four of the Brotherhood game (I'll put up more information on his profile meme in a bit).

[Altaïr just stares for a moment before he manges he speaks, because of both the statue and Desmond's comment which he totally didn't undersand btw, but don't think that's letting you off the hook!

Ultimately it is Desmond's pained groan which spurs him to speak.]

[He groans again and it takes a few moments for him to remind himself that the familiar voice is real and not a figment of his imagination. When the feeds come back on, Desmond is frowning with a hand pinching the bridge of his nose.]

Not I'm fine. I just....have a bad hangover.

[He shifts uncomfortably under that look. Then he clears his throat. Desmond doesn't want to explain the whole Bleeding Effect to his ancestor. He doesn't want him to know that he's slowly losing it after all.]

I get really bad headaches. And they are really bad when I get up in the morning.

[He opens his mouth to protest the moment Altaïr lets him know that he doesn't believe him, but quickly closes it as the Master of Masayf backs off. He nods gratefully. Maybe one day he'll feel comfortable to tell the whole story to his ancestor.]

Yeah, it is. After you saved Masayf and became the Master of the Brotherhood, you became a greater Assassin than even you could have ever imagined. You brought the Order to a whole other level and the people that lived after you kinda honored you for it.

[He knows that look and Desmond stays silent until Altaïr breaks from his train of thoughts. He nods]

I think so, yes. The illusion probably broke off the moment you killed Al Mualim.
