Hey Nea, your "favorite" person is back, and once more trying to pull something that would put women in danger and relegate them to the back seat. oh, my Lord.

I've had five miscarriages, with two different partners. All the miscarriages happened between 5 & 8 wks gestation. In light of recent auto-immune diagnoses, I believe in hindsight that my body was simply rejecting the fetuses in a weird sort of allergic reaction, or something. With all the other weirdness with my immune system, it makes the most sense.

To be accused of murder for something that in many cases is patently out of our hands & control? Ragey inside, that's me, reading about this. eegh.

Two thoughts: Since abortion is legal, how could a miscarriage be considered a crime on any level?
And, whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?

How *do* these people get elected?

consider the bills (no laws yet, but South Dakota is closest to it*) that would make it murder if someone physically hurts a woman to the point that it killed the baby or caused a miscarriage. While it is on the surface meant to increase the punishments and thus be a deterrent to misogynistic violence, the vagueness of the text is specifically meant to outlaw abortion without outlawing "abortion ( ... )

I'd start screaming, but I'm actually calmly convinced that this will NEVER get passed for the very reasons you cite. Even rabidly antiabortion people tend to start backing away slowly when facing the idea of criminalizing miscarriage or (because it's part and parcel) of late periods because *they* may be indicative of a possible miscarriage ( ... )

The man is fucking looney toons and has been in office for 13 years. He also proposed a bill that would abolish drivers licences in GA, because "Well theres nothing stopping 12 yr olds from driving now anyways"
