Weird dream last night:  Am driving my van to pick up my wife, but not quite sure of the address, so I overshoot the place.  She comes down the driveway, I see her, and start to back up. Fairly good set of faires this year:  Ashville Viking fest fun as usual, and sales were up. Bandage off.  Stitches out in my hand; still in on the elbow (doc says otherwise incision might pop open if I hit it wrong).   Still have to wear a plastic bag when showering.  Having the hand free means I can use a fork effectively, actually do 10 finger typing, and stuff like that. Monday, up at 5:30 (didn't sleep all night) and off to hospital.  Into surgery ca. 7:50 (scheduled for 8:00).  Out and conscious in recovery by 9:00.  Anesthetist listened, and clearly paid attention ( Read more... )

Colonoscopy done--I now have an almost perfect a**hole.  Downside, took even longer this time to awake from the anesthesia, and even longer for my blood pressure to get up (my son was sitting in the recovery room for about 2 hours after they called and told him I was ready to go home, but was sound asleep.  His observation was that my BP was around ( Read more... )
