So I'm applying for a passport; I went and did my paperwork, gave them my very old stamped birth certificate which they immediately stapled, and wrote my checks. Last week I got a packet from the Department of State saying additional information was needed to process my application. Wow! That is very weird. I've never heard of them needing that much information.

That is really messed up. I just got mine, and there were no secondary checks, just the original form, etc.

Seriously though, this all sounds more than a little wretched. SOrry about this bureaucratic obstacle course you're being put through, hun. *cuddles*

Nope, name change isn't going to be legal for a few more months so I didn't put Robot on the form. I figured it'd be easier to change that later.

wtf?? mine was simple.

birth certificate, ss card, pay stub, drivers liscense. there mightve been one other thing but i think that was it.
