Hi everyone,

Yay university applications are done! Finally! And now... for Scotland... I leave in less than two weeks! February 26 - June 8. I wonder if I'll have a bit of an accent by the time I come back...? I'm excited and happy and nervous and scared.

Thank you to everyone who gave me advice on university and colleges - I appreciate it so much!! Now, to make decisions...

I just saw the movie, The Queen. Wow, Helen Mirren is amazing. I felt very sorry for the actual Queen by the end of the movie - it must be so hard to become a Queen at a young age, have one's mother so close by (it's hard to make one's own decisions when there is a parent close by constantly reminding them about tradition...), have some difficult ( Read more... )

I like life right now. I finally went to the counselor/therapist my mum recommended, and had a good talk with her. I feel better this week than I have in a long time. Everything just seems more relaxed and calm ( Read more... )

I love seeing old friends from childhood, having them over for dinner, and finding out that you're still friends. It's such a wonderful feeling.

On another note, midterms tomorrow! I've had two already, and then Anthropology of Food and Victorian Values tomorrow! Eek! I'm really glad to be getting an education, but midterms scare me.

What is going on with all these school/cegep/university shootings? I, and everyone else at Dawson College, am (and are) still recovering from the shooting that happened two and a half weeks ago. I still can't go to sleep without music on, or stand to hear loud noises... goes without saying that I won't be able to watch violent movies for a long ( Read more... )
