We are all trapped here. The smiling people are called drones. They do not think or believe anything is wrong here. Once a month strange things tend to happen. Usually around the holidays.

They want us to act as though we have lived here our entire lives.

Only recently, yes. The other neighbors have been helpful in providing information, but it leaves so many open questions.

Yes, that is often the case when you first arrive here. I've been here for a few months myself and I still don't understand everything that is going on. But then, I don't think anyone does really.
