“Regina, it’s not the same for me as it is for you. I’m not your first choice but you are mine.” This line is so sad. And the fact that it was Emma who said it, thereby recognizing it, is makes the whole thing even sadder. Because her entire life is a life of a girl who wasn't even second in line, she wasn't an option ever. Perhaps only Henry is first person who had chosen her, who was looking for her. But now she knows that she is not only first option but she's the one who is worth fighting for. Battles aren’t important when you have someone who makes you believe that you can win the war. Very well said.

I think my head my be a sad place because in my head both of these girls are sad and broken. I like to think of my head as a realistic place though ;)

But I like your head, this is sad place ;) I don't know how the show will go and where but I'd like to go that way on the road that you suggest. Because the way how you write them, it's f...cking canon in my head, they're canon :)

I'm glad the way that I write them is cannon in your head. Based on the comments at SDCC it's very doubtful that they will go down my road (and to be honest I never expected they would) but I'm ok with that because whatever the show tries to do they can't take away the swan queen that is in my head.
