Banned? Here's why.

If you happen to notice you were banned this evening, here's the rule you violated:

By joining the community, you accept that you realize that the internet is fraught with uncertainty and it's possible that occasionally we'll be wrong in our suspicions. Therefore, you promise that you won't go all self-righteous and accusing and call us big cruel ( Read more... )

Hi.. I don't know why I was banned. I'm willing to stop whatever it was that I did but don't think I've done anything worth banning yet.

Please enlighten me? :)

Err.. Even if you're not going to remove the ban, could you tell me what it was for? I never intended to offend anyone with anything I've said (indeed haven't even been online for 10 days due to a holiday) so would like to know in case it happens again in other communities.

Didn't someone post anonymously on a "faker" journal, pretending to be you? If that was the reason, then you were harshly treated. But I seem to recall Tupperware woman getting IP addresses off the faker. Maybe yours matched with one of the abusive anon comments? Who knows? Tuppeware is a law unto herself.

Yeah they did. But I don't think that's what I was banned for. Tupelo seems smart enough to realise that anyone posting "anonymously" isn't going to sign it with their LJ username. Well.. I hope she realises I'm not that stupid anyway.

If someone logged the IP addresses, by all means check them, and it will be shown that I did not post that comment.

But I would like the real reason.

Cheers, jahbulon (P.S I post from two locations, one at work which will be an ozemail IP and one at home which will be an iiNet IP. Both I think would be relatively dynamic. Currently posting from work, original anonymous post in this thread was from home)
