Today was the second day for my initial Monkey and due to the BBC Children in Need coverage I managed to get down to and round the heel. There was a small hole forming (as I had been warned), but a bit of picking up and knitting together fixed that. Today was day 1 of my first sock attempt (I cast on after midnight, so it counts). I am currently halfway down the first leg, with the wonders of turning heels, gussets, and kitchenering ahead of me.
The weekend started for me on Friday night, when at the suggestion of charliejuggler I managed to catch Au Revoir Parapluie at Sadler's Wells. I didn't put two and two together until afterwards and work out that the lead was Charlie Chaplin's grandson (probably because he reminded me so much of juggler Sean Gandini). Failing my driving test :-( but not by much :-) Having a wonderful time in Bristol :-) but having to leave :-( Getting better at Why-Not :-) up until the point when I hit myself in the mouth with a club, pushing my lip onto my lower teeth and cutting into it :-(
Arrived into work this morning to find that the cleaners had broken my mug (which has been put somewhere they shouldn't have been), and just now the inside cover of my mac has chipped off. At least the first can be fixed with superglue, whilst the second should be covered by the warranty if I can just get in to see someone at the Apple store.
