That bit owns my soul Cappy - seriously. I love the parallel to Charlier/Sayid on island (and season one no less! YES!)

This was a marvellous look at having Charlie off-island interacting with the O6 - I love how glib and calm he is about it all, chattering away about his bloody noodles and Sayid's just staring at him like "HOLYCRAPWTF?!"

Great Charlie banter lines and I loved Sayid's reaction to him, and how amazingly touched he was when Charlie took the gun and gave him the tea. I could really see that moment in my head.

You're having quite a good output of stories considering you're retired aren't you? Hell, I'm certainly not complaining about it though! Well done!

Phew! I'm glad readers are liking the last line. I was worried that it sounded cheesy and almost took it out (!) I'm happy I left it there now.

The image of Charlie disarming Sayid - both literally and emotionally - is what made me want to write this fic. Sayid was so broken and despairing at the end of the last ep. He really needs someone to help him - and give him a nice cup of tea!

Well, if I can believe there is a future for Charlie on the show then maybe there is a future for my fanfic. Maybe I'm getting hopeful again (bad idea, right?)

lmao, okay so that fic in a whole wasn't funny but the way that Charlie was all fine, cool, calm & collected while Sayid was standing there all freaked out, shaking & sweating was a hilarious image for me. I really loved the way that you gave Charlie his happy go lucky spirit, very nice, it's also good to see that you're still writing!

Thanks for reading, meagan! It was meant to be funny in some ways. Even though future!Charlie is very cool and collected I still wanted him to have the old Charlie charm we know and love!

I can't believe you've retired writing fanfics & watching Lost, though I agree with you in the espect that it can never be the same without Charlie.

About this fic though, absolutly great. I liked the part where Sayid saw Charlie's face.

Wow, this is so powerful. Very, very Sayid. Charlie being totally unphased by him is creepy, but fitting for this new dead/undead Charlie. I love how you've emphasized Charlie's kindness. Flashforward!Sayid needs that!

Thanks bunnies! Yeah FF-Charlie is creepy with his "I'm dead, but don't freak out" calmness. But I think (hope) he has good intentions and will help the 06. FF Sayid most definitely needs some kindness, poor chap.
