what the hell is going on Aaron? Picking yourself apart is not helping, however one thing you mentioned is true. You need to quit smoking. I don't want to ever see what I saw last year ever again.

Last summer my mom lead a ride from the bike shop. The owner's father was in town and was a really great athlete and wanted to join us. Noone raised an objection so we proceeded. The dad was named John and used to smoke rather heavily, but finally quit 20 years ago to get in shape and live a healthy life. We got through glen ellyn and up the first hill and looked back to see if we were all together. We weren't, john wasn't on the pack, and behind us we saw police lights. At the top of the hill he collapsed and died from a pulmonary embelism. When you smoke the tar doesn't just get on your bronchials in your lungs, but some of it gets sucked into your blood stream and begins to coat your veins and arteries. Well even after you quit it still stays there and can dislodge and in johns case lodge in a capilary in his lungs and rupture the delicate tissue. He was dead before he hit the ground and I saw a life leave this world. I don't want this to happen to anyone I know, and it is a reality more true for smokers than cancer is. Cancer
