I need advice.

This is probably the stupidest question ever but I'm really torn as to whether or not I should quit cheerleading for the 2006-2007 school year. I've been a cheerleader since 7th grade and as stupid as it sounds, it's really a huge part of me. I've always wanted to be that varsity cheerleader, blah blah blah. Now that I am one, the only thing on ( Read more... )

i would say stick with it only bc from past experiences i regret.
i did musical(the pit) for a few years then all of a sudden senior year came and i wanted to work so i quit and it sucked because i regretted every minute of not choosing what i know in my heart i really wanted to do specially bc its hard to give up something that youve loved doing and did for so long and even when there are times you say you hate it, if you really think about it there are probably more times that you love it than hate it...

its one more year,
you have the rest of your life to work besides babysitting:)

That's a tough one dana.
But think this year, YOU'LL be the senior. You get to run the squad and make decisions. You guys get to make it fun and make sure you dont do to the juniors what those assholes did to you. This is your year to make it the best year yet. Think of homecoming and wanting to a senior at homecoming since forever. You're prob gonna think like wow i miss it and even if its just for that one day you still will miss it. I've quit stuff and i always wish i didnt. Sometimes its worth it for just a few really great moments to go thru a little hell. What ever you decide i'm sure it will be right for you but for senior year you do want to go all out fun, don't give a shit about work (believe me if sucks), and just have as much fun as you can.
I hope you figure out what you want to do
love you dana!!!! xox

eh, as much as i'd hate to admit it, money is way more important than following through on something that you just think you should, just because you've been doing it for a long time.

senior year, i quit dance, which had been a staple in my life since before i could even remember well enough to remember dancing. 2 years old i started. but i got a job and having money was way better. but def. talk to your guidance counselor about it, but go with your gut, not their bullshit whatever opinion.

i think you will regret quitting, and it does look weird on apps if you drop activities your senior year, but you know yourself and how you feel better than me. if you really feel like it will make you happier, it doesnt matter what any of us say.

love.

yea i agree.. because you're not totally decided one way or the other, i think you might regret quitting cheering. and i mean you're gonna be the senior. you get to make it fun, not for yourself, but for some junior girl who might be thinking of quitting. you need to set the example for them, and if u hated the seniors last year, then you know exactly what NOT to do. i'd say stick with it, cause colleges will look at that funny, possibly. i don't know honestly. you need to make the decision, but i don't think you should quit.
