on the feral situation

Man, dealing with ferals is a pain. The places that have a good rep for taking them in and housing them aren't in my area, and won't take cats from anywhere *but* their area.

See I look at $30/cat spay/neuters and think wow that's cheap.

I get the price perspective, particularly when you are talking multiple critters. I just approach it from the professional standpoint.

Oh yeah, $30 is cheap - it's with a voucher, but I just don't have any extra money right now. There's the momma and at least 3 kittens to do! I'm kinda up in the air with the parasite control. I suppose I could always bomb the garage after, but they also are giving them some sort of shot that will kill internal critters, so it's probably worth it to give them a good start.

And OMG, the kittens are so adorable -- I saw the three tabbys while they were eating, and managed to get pics of one of them. But we have hit our cat limit, and I haven't found any foster places that can take them.

Now if only I could find a foster home for the kittens. Dayam, they are cute. I haven't seen the black one in a while, but the 3 tabbys were all over eating this morning. I was standing on the porch, with my two cats behind me in the doorway, Mom cat was sitting between me and the food, and the kittens came running up and scarfed it to pieces.

My roommate has taken to starting every conversation she has with me with, "No, you can't have another cat." :->
