Title: Skywalker
Summary: Sam gets hurt on a hunt. Later, the guys watch a movie.
Rating: R for language
Warnings/Spoilers: Spoilers for, um, the Empire Strikes Back.
Author's Note: This is different for me! Plenty of angst and h/c as always, but Sam's just 15 here. This is maybe the shadiest John I've ever written too.

( It's a little more important than calculus, or whatever. )

Lol Sorry I wasn't more articulate. Yeah that was really sad! John's problems are so unforgivable as a parent but so understandable as a human. Dean seems like he understands but he's the one sitting with Sam who's in pain and his composure is impressive! I mean, how can he not be torn in two!? And poor Sammy is just lying there, everything so black and white in his mind. All John has to do is stop and he doesn't.

Very sad, indeed.

Dean is an AWESOME big brother. And I loved (in a really hurt-y way) the part where he thought about being a mechanic or a bartender or a barista... poor guy.

i've spent disproportionate amounts of time thinking about what dean might do after he retires from hunting Check it:

He's going to work as a barista and post-hell crazy sam will hang out in the coffee shop so he doesn't have to be alone, but then sam will freak out there and dean will quit that job

So then he'll take a job bartending and Cas will babysit Sam while Dean's at work, but Dean will eventually come to terms with his alcoholism and quit at the bar

Then he goes to work as a mechanic, and it is wonderful.

(I know you didn't ask, lol :P)

Viscerally hurty. Totally felt Sam's physical pain and Dean's emotional pain. Man, I wish John had left the pills for Sam!
