As in the Daniel Jackson Michael Shanks? Sweet! Isn't he a bit old for it, though? All of the other heroes in Smallville are 20-somethings.

Yep. Daniel Jackson.

It's introducing the Justice Society, which would be the previous generation of (golden age) superheroes in the Smallville universe. So they should be probably twice the apparent age of the Smallville regulars.

I wonder which version of Hawkman they will be going with.

I saw it, but I haven't seen any official announcement. Until there is one, it could well just be fanfic.

It would be awesome though.

so is this season supposed to keep the color scheme as black as possible or at some point do we get a chance at anything vaguely colored?

They haven't said one way or the other. I'm hoping he at least switches up the cool trenchcoat for a red one. It probably depends on whether they will get renewed for another season or not. if so, they could draw this out. If not, they will fast-track us to him becoming Superman.

I'm loving Zod this season. Have you been watching?

all the black hes got reminds me much more of the postdeath costume, with the silver S and power 90s mullet.

its making similar ratings to last year, which got it renewed for this year. not sure i want a fast track to supes or not. i do want more development on the clark/lois thing, the JLA/oracle(watchtower) piece and for them to quit writing ollie down a damned hole.

i have been watching. enjoying major zod. that 'kneel before zod' scene was also damned cool.

Yeah, but no Flash, no Specter and no GL...... makes me kinda said.

But happy that they will have Fate and Michael Shanks
