So I finished reading The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood around 5am this morning. I disliked it for the first 80 or so pages--it felt jarring, with the narrator throwing too much at you without much context--but I got used to this, and the book grew more and more absorbing, intense, and fucking scary.
