I have it on reserve at the library, but it hasn't been checked back in yet! *fidgets*

Bah! Silly patrons need to return their books. Make the librarians harass them. We can always extend the deadline, I'm sure other people could use some extra time. I have no real attachment to Feb. 1st.

I just saw your question about picking a new book too. How about...randomly picking someone and having them pick the book? Then next time, they pick someone else, etc. Just a thought, we'd get a mix of interests that way.

Oh, and either is fine -- hat or poll.

I like wendy's suggestion about randomly picking someone and they can do the hate method to pick a book.

I'm picking up my copy from the library on Saturday.

Q for you... do we "have" to pick a book off the list or can we pick another?

Hey! I'm new and totally ready to discuss books! :D (So glad, too, that wook77 pimped this com!) I think I'm kind of lucky, because if I haven't read both Persepolis's before, I probably wouldn't have time to participate in the first discussion. :D Yay for book clubs.

*climbs off sugar rush*

P.S. I also love wendy's suggestion. Except some guidelines should be set by the mod if this is how things are gonna run. Like the maximum length the books should be etc. Because I can think of some books I would choose that are over 1,000 pages long, and perhaps not everybody will be able to put in the time. ;)

Got the book out of the library two weeks ago. Then my husband started reading it. He's done now, so I"m going to start. Tonight!

I'm happy with a poll or the titles-in-a-hat approach to selecting the next book. Maybe a poll in which everyone can submit a suggestion for each new round, too?
