I find it particularly interesting that things have seemed to have gotten worse.
The political climate of the fandom community, i.e. the isolation of all those with conservative values, is just a big example of why the hypocrisy is at it's worse.

I think I'm starting to figure this out... you sit here and quietly rant in your corner until every so often you come up with something that makes you go, "ah! That will hurt their feelings!" Then you post it and turn the comments on, so you can sit back and watch smugly as we all go, "oh, NO! Thank you, fandom_scruples, for I have seen the light and am going to go flay myself and then join the Convent of Saint Serena the Reformed Strip Dancer and do good deeds for the little children who have been mentally scarred by porn!"

Except, of course, that what you have to say is actually completely lame, so instead we just gather around and laugh at you, and you retreat to the shadows muttering, "I'll get you next time, just you wait and see."

Your half right, but I think the way this person really hurts people, is by associating himself with them. I do believe this is intentional. It's lame, laughable, and easy to ridicule because he wants it to be. Then he sits back and enjoys the fighting he causes among us. He's never apologized for the way he's hurt these people either, which makes me believe he's enjoyed it.

I wonder if we could sign a petition, asking the LJ admins to tell us who this shithead is.
