I find it particularly interesting that things have seemed to have gotten worse.
The political climate of the fandom community, i.e. the isolation of all those with conservative values, is just a big example of why the hypocrisy is at it's worse.

So, you want...what? People to agree with your values? To respect them? To listen?

Respecting the right to hold an opinion does not automatically include respecting the opinion itself. Is anyone mailbombing you? Issuing death threats? Falsely reporting you to LJAbuse? If not, no one's squashing your opinion, or your ability to speak it.

They just don't think like you do.
