How long have you been a Pride & Prejudice/Jane Austen fan?: A month, maybe? I saw the movie, and then read the book.
Favorite character(s): Fitzwilliam Darcy, because I love how we find out new things about him as the book and movie go along.
Least favorite character(s): Lydia. She just seemed so immature, and annoyed me.
Which are you a fan of--the book, the movie, the A&E mini-series, all/some of the above?: The book and the movie.
Jennifer Ehle or Keira Knightly? (or, neither?): Keira Knightley.
Colin Firth or Matthew Macfadyen? (or, neither?): Matthew Macfadyen. I haven't seen the old version, so I have to go with both people in the new one.
Other fandoms: Harry Potter, Star Wars, Moulin Rouge, many assorted little thingers.
What's in your LJ?: Whatever I feel like posting at the moment- memes, when I get them, rants whenever I feel like ranting, etc.

You really need to see the old version if you're a P&P fan - I can certainly recommend it!

How long have you been a Pride & Prejudice/Jane Austen fan?: since I was a wee little one
Favorite character(s): Lizzie, Mr. Bennett, the Gardiners, and Mr. Darcy of course
Least favorite character(s):Lydia, Mr. Wickham, and Mr. Collins
Which are you a fan of--the book, the movie, the A&E mini-series, all/some of the above?: All. I've seen the Lawrence Olivier and Greer Garson version, the A&E version, and the newest version, I've also read the book
Jennifer Ehle or Keira Knightly? (or, neither?):I'd have to say Keira Knightly, I think she was closest in age and probably appearance to the character
Colin Firth or Matthew Macfadyen? (or, neither?): I'm loving Matthew Macfayden more and more
Other fandoms: Little Women, Final Fantasy...yup
What's in your LJ?:...right now...final exam rants, but usually, random events of the day and some photo posts.

When I think about it, I'm loving Matthew Macfayden more and more, too. At first, I despised him. I'm so mean! Maybe it's just my loyalty to one of my gods of hotness *cough*Colin*cough*.
Did you like Little Woman as a movie? I just saw it a couple months ago for the first time, and to a friend of mine, to mentioned it was horrible, I quite enjoyed it.. and seeing younger Christian Bale didn't hurt either. :)

How long have you been a Pride & Prejudice/Jane Austen fan?: Hmm, since I was about 10? That's when I first read the books.
Favorite character(s): Mr Bingley, Elizabeth Bennett, Jane Bennett
Least favorite character(s): Mr Collins. Gah, I could strangle the man.
Which are you a fan of--the book, the movie, the A&E mini-series, all/some of the above?: The book is the best, definitely. However, I do like the way they converted it to a series and I also enjoyed the recent film - mainly because it was interesting to see how different they made it.
Jennifer Ehle or Keira Knightly? (or, neither?): Jennifer Ehle, but Keira Knightley played Lizzy to fit the film well. I just always saw Lizzy more as how Jennifer Ehle played her.
Colin Firth or Matthew Macfadyen? (or, neither?): Both. They plyed Darcy very differently, but both very well.
Other fandoms: Harry Potter, Les Miserables, not much else.
What's in your LJ?: lots of RL, some memes, quite a bit of randomness, some fandom posts. The odd photo post as well.

I definitely enjoyed the contrasts of the series and movie as well! I hate when film makers decide to make movies similiar to older versions, it was really refreshing to something new and played so fantasticly. :)

Oh, definitely! If they had tried to make it similar they would have just ended up with a film that was constantly trying to live up to the repurtation of the first (which would have been very unfair as they hd a so much shorter running time than the series in which to fit everything in). By making it very different, they made it something to be admired in it's own right, rather than another take on the same thing.

Exactly, and that's why I'm quite smitten with the movie. Having been entirely annoyed that they were remaking it yet again in the first place I was pretty taken aback at how good the actual movie was. The dialogue, the scenary, costume design and acting were nothing short of amazing.

How long have you been a Pride & Prejudice/Jane Austen fan?: Since I first read P&P, around the age of 13.
Favorite character(s): Lizzie, naturally. She's smart and snarky, but only at those whose rude behavior invites it.
Least favorite character(s): Mr. Collins (pompous twit whose sins are doubled by his occupation) and Mrs. Bennett (for being a shallow, ill-mannered idiot and raising two daughters to be the same).
Which are you a fan of--the book, the movie, the A&E mini-series, all/some of the above?: All are brilliant in different ways, though the movie isn't quite in the same category.
Jennifer Ehle or Keira Knightly? (or, neither?): Keira Knightly's age with Jennifer Ehle's acting?
Colin Firth or Matthew Macfadyen? (or, neither?): Colin Farth! His Darcy is a snob. Macfadyen's is merely shy, though he does look rather nice striding implausibly across the misty field.
Other fandoms: Firefly, Harry Potter
What's in your LJ?: Posts about books, the writing process, occasional bits of my writing or ( ... )
