The ability that you have to weave the story with characters that we've only heard referenced in canon with the events that we know are taking place in the time period is well done, and the intermixing of image and text telling the story is wonderful, often with the drawings speaking for themselves. I've also enjoyed seeing your development using watercolours over time.
Also, I love the delivery method that you found to present your format. I was wondering how we were going to view it.
Thank god it was worth the wait! Goodness knows I created a lot of hype, that I suddenly had to live up to. ;)
I'm really happy you think this works within the known canon, it was quite a bit of hazzle trying to piece that time-period together..
I had so much fun telling this story in both words and images, so thank you for telling me that the two inform each other. Text is minimal because I'm mostly visually oriented, but the dreaded dialogue is a must in this format... I saw another comic presented this way, and I'm glad to hear you like the presentation. :)
WOW. (Yes, I see that train_lindz already said that, but it's exactly what I'm thinking.) The scope of this is so huge--it has a timeline-faithful plot, it has gorgeous artwork, and it has an overall gut-punching effect. I love the portrayal of the brotherhood

Thank you so much for this wonderful comment! I'm thrilled to hear that so many of the things I struggled with putting in there stood out to you. Especially the portrayal of the brothers and the gut-punching bits

I don't know that I can believe how much work it was either. I'm not entirely sure what to do with myself now that it is done...
I love that you wrote a list! :D And curly young Remus is one of my favourite things too. I'm happy you thought the Death Eaters were menacing to look at, and that page 11 told the story in a powerful way. I felt like, if Fabian and Gideon really were the warriors Moody portrayed them as, treachery was probably involved in how they were cornered by the Death Eaters in the end. And so Peter was a handy tool, but he is also multilayered, and I'm glad you saw that part as well.
Thank you for taking a look and leaving your thoughts. It means a lot! ♥
Fantastic work. Really interesting combination and use of characters. One theme I don't think gets explored enough is the pain of having to kill so good on you for not flinching from it. It *should* be the hardest thing to live with, even if it *is* self-defence. And the ending... meep. Stellar stuff.
Thank you so much! I think you are right that having to kill is not something that should or could be easily glossed over, so I'm glad that rang true to you. The ending was killing me, I really wanted those two to not die. Thank you again for leaving your thoughts. It means a lot.
Read it again. Couldn't help it. I remembered that I forgot to tell you how much I enjoyed the art itself- the use of the panels is very clever. I love the division of panel when Sirius and Peter are brought to the table, the insets over the Burrow but the most wonderfully effecfive part must be the second-to-last page with all the panels full of Death Eater crowding round a panel o' Fabian.
And Peter: "Perhaps you'll do just as well...." AIIIIIIIIIEEEEEE! Makes the blood run cold.
Thank you for coming back again! It thrills me no end that you want to read it more than once.
Doing the panels was both fun and exasperating. You have pointed out some of my favourites as well, and I too especially like the second-to-last page. I'm so glad that it seems that everything in that page supports the story I wanted to tell.
Peter chills me. The thought of a traitor unknown among the Order is horrifying..
Like everybody else here, I can only start this comment with: WOW. This is such a fantastic piece of storytelling, with your striking visual style
