I can never get enough of wondering about Peter's reasons for betraying his friends as it's never adequately explained and I never thought of tying that to Sirius, but the parallel is so clearly made here, I wonder how I never thought of it before. I love that Sirius and Andromeda wrote to one another, as the two rogue Blacks surely must have done, and that Andromeda still considers them her sisters - because how do you forget a shared childhood, even if you walk away from it.
Truly stunning.

I particularly liked your portrayal of Peter during his confrontation with Sirius about betraying his family--that was spot on.

OMG - PETER, YOU... GAH! Dirty little rat.
I particularly liked the Remus and Sirius scene at the end, trying to sort things out, find out where it all went wrong.
I caught one canonical mistake (because I'm a bit of a canon nazi) - One of them involved a hippogryff, leading Peter to ask if he'd ever seen someone die, - I think you mean thestrals :)
Thank you so much for sharing!

I love the details you have included: Sirius' having to hurry to write Andromeda before the owls were told not to deliver to her--brilliant! And Sirius' seeing a house elf die, because Regulus was forced ot kill it. Loved Sirius' reaction to Remus/Tonks.
Wonderful story! :)
