This weekend was a nice break from the chaos that has been my life these past few weeks. Saturday morning, we went to Fly Creek Cider Mill near Cooperstown and treated ourselves to fresh apple cider (made that morning) and watched them make even more cider. Me: Why?
T: Because I only hear it when I'm in trouble.
I think this is true for the majority of children. Basically all except those who are (for whatever reason) primarily addressed by their middle name (who hate their first name).
Then there's folk like me, who embraced that "bad" middle name as a new identity. ;)

We follow David Bednar everywhere. He was in Arkansas (so many of our ward members knew him personally), and then we followed him to Idaho. It's like he's everpresent. :)

I loved Elder Bednar. He was president of Ricks College (I'm still not used to calling it BYU-Idaho) when I was there. I always loved the devotionals that he was in charge of. He and Elder Holland are my favorite apostles so I was very excited when I learned he was coming for our stake conference.

Also, love that motto of yours! A lot of people would benefit from it if they tried applying it to their own lives, I bet.

I've spent the week so far trying to live by that new motto and so far I like the difference it's making in me.
