I should be packing the stuff we're bringing on the plane right now but I got overwhelmed and needed a break. So I'm here instead. I can't believe this is the last post I'll be making from NY. As hard as it is to leave (and it doesn't help that I'm such a sentimental person), I'm so very excited to get to California and settle in.

Thanks! I've forgotten how hard the last few days are. It's been 8 years since my last move. And the last time I did a cross-country move, I only had 1 roomful of stuff and my mom ended up shipping it to me a few boxes at a time. I will say this, I'm so glad this time around we've got movers packing everything up for us. Even though I know I've done all the packing myself before, I really don't know how I'd do it right now with everything else going on.

You will definitely come appreciate facebook/skype/emails a lot more when you live away from some of your favorite people. I was definitely scared to move out here to washington, where I only had one friend. At least I had the one! But with the internet :) I can talk to any of my friends from home any day of the week. What a wonderful thing :). Hehe so I look forward to having an excuse to go to Cali ;) and visit you guys. T is probably as tall as me now haha.

I already appreciate them because I spent the past 10 years all the way across the country from my entire family. I'm very grateful we have all this technology now because I don't know how I would have done any of this (living in NY so long and now this move) without so many ways to keep in touch with everyone. And definitely, if you get the chance to come out here, come stay with us. :)
