After my last batch of posts, it probably sounded like we made a mistake moving out here.  But even though our move was quite the "adventure," and we continue to face different challenges, the positive experiences and and opportunities have been ( Read more... )

Thanks! I gotta say, the news about the reimbursement for the car came at a much needed time. I'm so grateful for that. And I'm looking forward to seeing what else there is to see and do around here. I liked NY (when it wasn't winter), but there really wasn't that much that we could do that didn't require a ton of travel so we ended up bored most of the time. Here, the only times we're bored are when we choose to be because we need a bit of a break from all the fun. :)

Sounds like you're starting to really settle in. The beach pics are amazing! Glad to hear it's a happy move for you overall.

Thanks! I love having the ocean so close. I lived in WA for six years before I got married and we did go to the coast every year, but it was only about a week each year. And then I spent ten years without seeing the ocean at all. I've really missed it and can't begin to say how much I love that I can go anytime I want. The closest one is only 45 minutes away.

I really misjudged California. For the longest time, I had abosultely no desire to live here. Now I'm so glad I gave it a chance because I really love it here.
