I was going to post about visiting Trinity this weekend, but...

Remember that Chicago job?

They just offered me the position.

:Stares at you:

What the hell is happening now?

Anybody know anything about Chicago?

!

I know it gets cold, and that it's further away from Lubbock than Houston is. A friend of mine from high school likes it up there, I think.

What's the job?

The position title is Bilingual Investigator.
It's with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
I... still don't know how I feel about it.
They want me to start December 11. !!!!!

I'm house sitting starting tomorrow, so fingers crossed I'll be on AIM soon.
Otherwise, I'll call you after 9.

Yeah, so turns out they have a mac much to my consternation, and AIM Express says it isn't supported by the browser. Which is IE but maybe not the latest? Hell if I know. Suggestions?

Damnation.

Is what I would be saying if I hadn't tracked down the following page:

Hopefully that'll work. *crosses fingers*

I have no idea how to live in snow. In January it averages below 0 (C).

OTOH, I can research the climate of evil penguins.

I hear there are some really awesome law schools in Chicago. :pokes you:

They say with the trains you never really have to go outside.

And the food is renown for being quite delicious.

Schlimiel, schlimazel, hasenpfeffer, incorporated.

i've heard the tap water is really nasty, like...leaves you feeling as though an oily film has covered you. dunno if it's true or not.

as a plus side, the it has a very good blues scene

All the cultural stuff is def. a draw. So many pretty museums.
And it's a minority-majority city by a pretty wide margin, which bodes well for food, music, and the like.

Ew about the water. But I'm kinda of used to avoiding tap. I'm not sure what that says about the showers tho.
