She was out of breath. Her legs felt like jelly. Her heart was beating uncontrollably. She could hear it pounding in her ears. Her legs twitched when she leaned against the nearby wall to rest briefly. Her lungs felt like they were on fire and no amount of deep breathing would put that fire out.
She ran her fingers through her hair and waited for the train. The owl Dean had received from his mother had worried her and now she was determined to go to Mrs. Thomas, determined to find her and talk to her about this entire situation. Pansy never thought she'd be so intent on visiting a muggle with such urgency. Her parents had never prepared her for this and she wasn't sure how to go about it.
The train took longer than she expected to arrive at her stop, but once it did she boarded and found an empty seat. After doing so someone sat beside her, startling her. She turned her head to look at the person, but they had a hood over their head so she couldn't figure out who it was.
"Where are you going?" asked Draco. Recognition immediately dawned on Pansy.
"What are you doing here?" Pansy asked back.
"Answer my question first then I'll answer yours."
"I'm going to visit Mrs. Thomas."
"I'm here to return you to your father."
"I'm not going back there, Draco."
"You don't have a choice. I must admit though it was challenging to find you, especially since you didn't apparate. It would've made it easier for me to find you if you had."
Pansy shook her head. "Typical, always wanting things to be easy for you."
Draco grinned. There was no use denying the truth of her statement. "Shall we get off at the next stop?"
Pansy laughed, jubilance obvious in her demeanor. "Do you really think it's going to be that easy?"
Draco attempted to grab Pansy, but she kneed him in the groin before he could causing him to double over. While he did this Pansy made a run for it and in the process bumped into Theodore. Theodore smirked at Pansy and said, "I knew Draco couldn't handle this alone. Good thing I decided to tag along."
Hours later, Pansy awoke to find herself lying in the middle of Draco's bed. She recognized it from the few times she stayed over and instantly felt fury. Draco entered his bedroom followed by Theodore, who was now sporting a split lip and this made Pansy smile.
"My father cannot keep Dean and I apart."
