I had the honour and privilege to meet Fernando Hernández, a Maya man from Chiapas, Mexico, and the opportunity to absorb knowledge from him. He was invited to my school for an Indigenous Knowledge Lecture session, a discussion of his role in the movie "Apocalypto" and a discussion of the racial issues in that movie.
