Yawn, stretch, was I asleep?  According to LJ, it's been 109 weeks since I last posted.  Geeze, good nap or what.  Lots of changes in job and life and stuff.  And then some.  Anybody still out there?

Interesting times lately. The broken foot is still broken. I have been relegated to desk duty as my Senior Chief has said I am working to much, that I need to stay off my foot as much as possible and let other people do the walking around work for a while, and take care of myself so I can heal. I am not sure what is more pathetic, the workout I just did or how much it kicked my ass. With this walking boot still on my right foot, workouts are a creative endeavour, but workable. The orthopedic doc even said I could work out, as long as it didn't hurt and I was careful, I could lift weights. Good thing too, as I already was at that point ( Read more... )

So, saw the doc last Thursday, X-rays were taken of my foot and I heard the same thing over again "It's healing, keep doing what you're doing and I'll see you in a month." They are starting to sound like a broken record. I asked the doc how much longer I'd be wearing this "Walking boot", and he said at least two more months. Yikes! By the time ( Read more... )

When I got LL Sally a few years back, she was in fairly rough shape. She's belonged to a friend for years, and had gone from their family car to being the kids car, who a) didn't know the first thing about cars and upkeep maintenance and b) didn't care. I have a watch tomorrow for the first time since I got here to Whidbey Island. Ooo, exciting.
