A riddle and other stuff

A man lives on the 22nd floor of a building.  Every day he pushes the button for the 18th floor.  He goes up the 18th floor gets off and walks the rest of the way.  There is nothing wrong with the man or the building, or the elevator.  There are 22 floors in the building and there are no basement floors.  The man does not need the exercise, and he ( Read more... )

I just heard a riddle similar to this one last week.
The man lives on the top floor and takes the elevator down, but has to take the stairs back up, unless it's raining... then he takes the elevator.
The answer for that one is because the man is a midget and can't reach the buttons for the elevator for the upper floors, except for the days he has his umbrella.

I was thinking along the same lines as Dawn. Is it because he isn't tall enough to reach the buttons above 18?

Yeah, I vote the elevator guy is a midget. Or perhaps he is avoiding someone on one of the floors.
