The cats are still all right
The cats are all right. The first time they met the big girls, Gracie wanted to chase Coco, and Chica just wanted to be friends but by the time she had wiggled over to them, they were down the hall and under the guest bed. Moving Kitties
I am awake at 1:34 a.m. not because I have watched too many tsunami (not a word I wanted to learn to spell) videos, but because today I am moving my cats to the farm. I have explained it to them, but they seem to be clueless. They will be moving into a house that is 70% the size of this one. The passing of a Friend
I haven't been posting much because farming and its associated tasks take all my time. In fact it soaked up so much of my time that I missed years of visiting with Bob Doyle. Game changing tragedy and happy dances.
In the long time since I posted, I have done the Happy Dance, and in the past two weeks I have done it a lot. The FCF (former co-farmer) has moved his hay and grain business a road away, which is actually about two miles via road. Hi my friends. I have been lurking. The last four months have been good and bad. The feet, they may stand steadily on the ground, soon, although the schedule F for the IRS knocked me for a loop. Icky stuff like anger
The former co-farmer's wife told me that I am about her only friend, that she is being/has been pushed out of her teaching job, and that she is emotionally desperate and wants to work on "the farm." This was over three hours or so of her heart to me last Wednesday. I have no complaints about her. She isn't going to win an award, but so be it. This ( Read more... ) -
Economizing, typos, and ads
I did not renew my paid LJ subscription so I am reading ads (sometimes opening ones for companies I dislike to make them pay for my pleasures, as well as charming ones). This also means more typos in my comments, since I can no longer edit them once they are posted. As they say, so it goes.
