I know this is something of a love-it-or-hate-it episode, depending on how you feel about death, destruction, heroes failing horribly, and the road to hell being paved with good intentions. Personally, angst-fiend that I am, I am very firmly on the love side. It really is the classic "This ain't Star Trek" episode of this series. More than that, the tragedy here has much resonance beyond just this one episode, coming as it does at a time when the characters are already struggling to cope with their own pain and grief.
4). This, yes. Farscape (especially in comparison with something like Star Trek) really makes me think of perceptions and how good vs. evil is largely dependent on who is telling the story. You can really see a story told from the POV of the nuns nurses and how the heroes can be painted as the bad guys, or even a story from the Peacekeeper POV where you can do the same, in terms of how much destruction/chaos they actually cause.
Possibly, I tend to approach all stories with this in mind, but the narrative is so much more aware of that here? Which makes me love it more.
