I went to a band concert tonight, half-expecting to be bored and half-excited that I had something to do on a Friday that didn't require conversation. I got a letter in the mail today from the Office of International Student Affairs. I signed up to work as a 'friend' of an international student; we hang out or possibly just email or work on his English or something. It's a win-win.
