{Action I; Stone Street- Open}
[Saber couldn't get out of the house fast enough. She slammed the door and hurried down the street. Something was going on, and she needed to clear her head...
why the hell had she said that? Was this 'truth' thing catching up with her? Saber may have taken pride in her honesty, but there were some things that did

Emiya Kiritsugu! How dare you appear before me!?
[More importantly, why didn't I know you were here?]

[Barely audible enough to hear, really. Being forced to talk to Saber will be the most painful trick Mayfield will ever play on him.]
[Kiritsugu starts to think. There is absolutely no way he can stand up against Saber, and even escaping her sounds like an impossible feat. After all, Saber no longer depends on him to prolong her existence.]
[Depressingly enough, the safest way out of this seems to be simply letting Saber kill him, which Kiritsugu fully believes she's capable of doing. The town will revive him come morning.]
[He starts walking away.]

[She's faster than yoooooooou, and blocking your way]

[However, he has no intention of playing Mayfield's game. Not this time. There usually aren't any crowds around here, so that's out. Back alleys may help, but Mayfield doesn't have a landscape as complicated as he'd prefer. His smoke grenades haven't been returned yet, and his new gun and knife would hardly be of any help.]
[Kiritsugu simply returns a stare. Mocking, almost. There are two things he can do. Either he can stand his ground, or he can provoke Saber into killing him, which would solve all of this. For now, he's doing both.]

[Being utterly, unhelpfully vague. Right. There's that option, too. Let it never be said Emiya Kiritsugu was not a stubborn man.]
[He allows himself to hear, see for any interruptions. Kiritsugu's never been the type to rely on luck, but in this situation, it's all he's got.]

[Yes, he's vaguely aware of how cathartic this must be.]
It was necessary.

[From the start, Saber's known this has been his wish, so he doesn't feel terrible about divulging it. Still, the questions keep getting more and more specific. At this rate... ]
[Once again, he tries to bolt. Whether he's able to get away or is attacked, he'll get a little closer to escaping this situation. These are the times Kiritsugu hates his inner cowardice. Even if useless against Saber, he could still think of an escape route granted by the firearm in his coat. However, he's well-aware he will not take it.]

Are you still questioning that, Saber? You should be thanking him.
Besides....what do you think the Einzbern woman would say about what you're doing right now?

This man betrayed me! And after everything I had done for him! I demand an explanation!
[glare]
You dare speak of Irisviel to me, heathen?

[True to his nature, he does not waste the opportunity, immediately attempting to use Gilgamesh's distraction to escape.]

Try to be a man about this.
And you should stop being stubborn Saber. Do you want your wish so bad that you'd willingly kill most of the human population for it?

What madness are you spewing now? My wish is only to save my kingdom and the people who lost their lives because of my carelessness. It is only I that shall be erased.
