Spent most of the day at States (magic). Definitely the biggest tournament I've ever played in and definitely consisting of the most hard-core players. I didn't get in the top 16 like I was really hoping, but I went 5-2 and placed 22 out of 120 people. Very respectable, I'd say. I'm happy with it anyways ( Read more... )

I just told someone on IM that I would "crack my knuckles in a threatening manor." It makes me realize that I'm foolish and am never going to remember about those stupid homonyms. It also makes me miss das_uber.

I've been wanting to post a real entry for days, but it's been busy. I'll get to that soon.

Trying to get back into digital painting in a big way. I've been lacking motivations and getting frustrated and then I remembered that blackmage9 is holding an art competition tat ends this weekend. So I threw together some initial sketches and then spent most of yesterday evening making this:

So being part of two labs has resulted in everyone cramming as many skills as possible into my head as quickly as possible. I've been here for 4 weeks and I've learned: Running fMRI, SPM, BrainVoyager, UNIX, e-prime, coglab, and a few other little things, including my starting on Poser.
