WOAH! man I remember seeing that movie in the theater (About a Boy, not A Single Man). Shit, I am getting old.

Is this the new Roman Polanski movie? Or is that something else?

We are definitely getting old. I feel slightly pedophilish about this. But the kid's all legal and everything.

And no, this isn't Roman Polanski. This is Tom Ford's (the designer) first film venture. So it's gorgeously costumed and the clothing is yet another thing that is beautiful in the film. The whole thing just oozes style and pretty.

I kind of want to see it....but I've read a couple of reviews that have said it's all look, no substance. But I think I might try it, now. I was actually thinking I might go see a movie by myself tonight. Do you think one would make me cry alone in a theater? I don't know if it's sad or not.

Oh my god, it's TOTALLY substance in addition to style. I mean, the style is out of this world, but in no way is it substance-less.

And I don't think it'll make you cry alone in a theater. It's got a sadness to it, but also a sense of hope. Mostly it's beautiful, in all senses of the word.

Go.

Go see it.
