Good afternoon, kind sirs and madams.

[The voice that's filtering over the feed...it sounds remarkably like one gentleman archaeologist, if but a tad more hoarse.]

I do beg your pardon if I have interrupted something, but I wish to extend a mere…request, for any information regarding this place I have been transported to.

[A pause.]

Previously, I was ( Read more... )

My name's Dale Cooper and it's a pleasure to meet you as well... [You can most likely hear a slight hesitation in his voice saying this, but he carries on in a conversant manner.] I regret to inform you that you will most likely be unable to return to London anytime soon. Apparently, some of the people I've talked to have been here for months. No one knows how or why this is happening, either.

The pleasure is all mine.

... [He takes a moment to mule this over. What on earth is this man babbling about?] I beg your pardon, sir, but I'm afraid that I don't quite follow. You say that we are trapped here? But where is "here", exactly? It certainly does not resemble any land I have ever heard of.

I'm sorry, let me retrace my words. This place is called Johto, and from my understanding, is a different world, an alternate reality. A number of worlds seem to coexist, actually. The people who have arrived here all seem to come from different ones. And yes, "trapped" is probably a fitting description.

Johto, you say? I'm afraid the name is completerly alien to me, although that would not be surprising if this is indeed an "alternate reality", as you so put it.

...this is indeed a startling predicament. [There's a bit of a solemn note to his voice, now.] What of our...home worlds? Are we aware of what happens there during our absense?

You sure about that?

Hm? [A note of caution enters his voice.] Whatever do you mean by that?

Your name sounds familiar, that's all. [eeeeybrow]

Familiar, you say? [Dimitri is not amused. But his voice doesn't show it, only lending itself to confusion, and curiosity.] May I ask where you have heard my name before, sir?

[lol what is this, Don Paolo doesn't even. He turned on the feed, but really he's not even sure where to begin with you. So just. Have a shit-eating grin for a few seconds.]

[Dimitri is about to respond with a...dubious "what are you smoking" or a variation thereof, before he recognizes that smarmy expression and just. What. He decides to return the video feed, instead. While linefacing. 8| ]

Don Paolo. You're the last person I would have expected to become ensnared in this...madness.

[meanwhile, being a biiit behind the times, Don Paolo has no idea if he should know this guy or not. Maybe as Paul, but... what.

Eh. He can play it off.]

Oh? Well, good. I deeply enjoy being unexpected! Nyeh heh heh.

That Layton act's gonna be a tough sell in these parts, just so you know.

[Poor Dimitri hasn't wisened up to the whole timelines-lack-thereof yet. Uh oh.]

It can certainly be an aid in some matters. [A smirk.]

...why do you say that? [And now he's a bit...worried.]

[--while Dimitri certainly did some research on the good professor prior to masquerading as him, he doesn't recall having heard this voice before...and without seeing her face, he definitely can't place her.]

That would be I, miss. Is something troubling you?
