I had this argument with someone in RL the other day, so Feminist rant coming up.About how in some ways, I'm a "typical" feminist (notice use of quotes) and in some ways I'm an anti-thesis of it, ergo, I'm not one.

I agree with most of what you say. I am a feminist and proud to be one. But chivalry according to me is just another way of making the man feel in control. Also being nice is different from being chivalrous. You are nice because you want to, showing chivalry is because you have to.
