Last Thursday I got my glasses, a few days earlier than I was told. It took a couple of days to get adjusted to them but I am glad I have a pair again to read and see normally. mid March update
The trip to Florida to visit with family was...typical. These trips aren't a vacation as it gets stressful trying to give 6 kids a year's worth of attention, and I have to be on their schedule. So, the truck was made drivable on Tuesday. Had issues with the tow company on Monday, but I got it covered by my insurance and the truck eventually got to the place. My friend Leslie was with me for a few hours while we waited for the tow (which was 3-4 hours late), but I told her to head off and get her things done since idk how much longer the ( Read more... ) -

I have it lined up tomorrow for my friend Kara to come over and be with me while I (hopefully) finally deal with the flat tire. I am not sure of the final plan, but I am either going to try to inflate it with a small inflator and then drive, or call a tow to take it to the place. It's been a difficult week. Last Friday my friend Emily's mother passed away. She was ill for a few years but it still seemed sudden. I have been trying to help Emily out the best I can, wish I could have been there for her ( Read more... ) -

Not sure what to say about this week. On Saturday I did my first grocery run on the bus. I only have to take one bus, thankfully, however the stop for the store (Meijer) is on the other end of the route so round trip it is an hour. I ate lunch there in their little eating area by the deli, and had entertainment watching the shoppers. I was anxious ( Read more... ) -

I have not been eating very well recently. Since I have to rely on the bus for transport at the moment, I have held off going to the grocery store mostly because I do not have the energy (grocery shopping is draining enough, add on a 60 minute round trip bus ride). Sometimes I feel like I should write here again, or journal again regularly. I think the big problem is time - since LJ became less active I spend a lot of social online time on Face Book. I do not know what would be more beneficial, however. Journaling has benefits but I 'socialize' more on FB ( Read more... )
