I know. It's a very sad day in the world of metal:( I'm still in a state of shock, and I can't bring myself to write anymore sad comments about it (Through this I found out I belong to way too many metal communities)...I have a better reaction with more collected thoughts in my personal journal...

You're forgetting buddy, I did not write that he was "some metal guitarist." Whoever you are directing that to, I sure hope it is the new and not me. I for one was raised on Pantera and I wrote that "the metal world has lost one of their best fucking guitarists." We are all in shock here. We have all lost a HUGE part of that great music we love.

Oh No, I wasnt directing "some metal guitarist." at what you said at all.
I just see how generally the world overlooks this as important. As meaningful to the metal scene as Dime was, people who arent in tune all over TV or other places will label him as "some metal band guy" or just something throwaway. While people to like us it's a big deal.

Im right there with ya. Its just on posts and yesterday on tv, many folks were like "whatever", "so what" and downplaying what he did to nothing meaningful. So I just put it forth he was more than that.
Meanwhile if paris hilton breaks a nail its a damn special news flash.
It irked me how someone so meaningful to so many was not recognized as he should be, a living legend.

yeah, this is quite a shock.

musicians on our side of the fence are not supposed to die of BULLETS unless theyre self inflicted in a fit of dramatic, poetic expression.
